Mosquito DK322/P – T/o at 15:02 hrs for mission to Frankfurt. Missing. Duel with Fw Roden Erwin 12./JG1. Crashed at 18:30 hrs near Tourinnes-la-Grosse 11km SSE of Leuven. 6.9.1942
Evans was killed and buried to Heverlee War cemetery, Pickett bailed out and survived as POW.
