Facts

Halifax II DT752 EQ-W 408Sqn. Op: Plzen. Take of 21.00 Leeming. Shot down by a night-fighter (Hptm. Ludwig Meister, I./NJG4) and crashed 04.08 near Nassogne (Luxembourg), Belgium. Sgt. Kwasney RCAF, whose body was not found until 6 May, lies in Florennes Communal Cemetery. The others rest at Heverlee War Cemetery, having been brought here from St. Truiden. A monument honouring the crew has been erected at Nassogne.
