Facts

Pilot Quilliam was on a mission flying Hurricane II Z4001. The 242 R.A.F. Squadron was sweeping the French coast line attacking German E-Boats. Harold was either shot down by FLAK (German Anti Air Craft) or during an aerial combat near Gravelines, France. Most likely his body washed ashore near Zeebrugge Belgium. Here he was temporary buried in the Churchyard.
