Homeward-bound, the aircraft was claimed shot down by Oberleutnant Werner Baake of the 2./NJG 1 (flying He 219 A-0 G9+RK from Venlo airfield, the Netherlands) and by Oberleutnant Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer of the Stab IV./NJG 1 (flying a Bf 110 G-4 from Sint-Truiden airfield).
There were no survivors amongst the crew; all rest in the Heverlee War Cemetery at Leuven, Vlaams-Brabant.
