Facts

Take off 23.34 Tholthorpe to bomb the militairy camp at Leopoldsburg (Belgium). Shot down by a night- fighter and crashed in open country 3 km SW of Overpelt (Limburg, Belgium) and roughly 5 km ESE of Lommel (Belgium). All were buried at St.Truiden, though their graves are now located in Heverlee War Cemetery.
F/S Mohler RCAF was an American from Excelsior Springs Missouri (USA).
