Facts

Mosquito MM787 Missing from patrol between Remagen and Bonn. 9.3.1945
While being vectored after a target, in the Zulpich-Euskirchen area, the Mosquito suddenly disappeared from the tube of the radar unit, which had been plotting it. F/Lt Steele, the pilot, had come to the squadron late in February; his navigator, F/O Horne of the RAF, had joined it in December of the previous year.
