Facts

On Saturday, May 3rd, 1941, at 13.20 pm, Spitfire of the Squadron 1 of RAF crashes to Soumagne in the said place Maireux.
The aircraft is piloted by Peter Garratt Rose, Sergeant , 25 years. It is its second mission in this special squadron. A photo recognition over the Ruhr returns.
For an unknown reason, he has to jump with his parachute but his plane splits and a piece of wing strikes him. His body dug in the ground a deep mark. Source:
