Facts

Returning the bombing of Cologne station, they are attacked by four hunters north of Liege. Five crew members will be killed and all based in Heverlee War Cemetery near Leuven. Driver: P / Off Joseph Unsworth (killed), First Officer Howard Carroll (this document); Bomber: P / Off William Egbert Simpson (killed); Radio operator Sgt Gilbert Cox (escaped), gunner and radio operator 2nd Ernest Molding (killed); gunner P / Off Frank Mason (killed); rear gunner Sgt AF Dickson, RCAF (killed).
