On July 14, 1944, the Lancaster PA984-GT-Q of the 156 Squadron of Bomber Command, takes off at 22:01 from Upwood (Cambridgeshire - UK) for a bombing mission of the railway facilities of Revigny-sur-Ornain (Meuse), where a train of German ammunition parked. On July 15, 1944, around 01:57, she was shot down by a night fighter piloted by the Oberfeldwebel Reinhard KOLLAK of the Nachtjagdgeswander Nr.4; and crashed in the forest of Valtiermont, not far from Ancerville.
